The month of the Child is an annual campaign of The Justice Desk. The objective of the campaign is to raise awareness around certain issues affecting children. These issues are of such a nature that they pose a serious threat to the well-being of the children in our communities.
The African proverb, “it takes a village to raise a child” teaches us the need to ensure multiple influences and opportunities for our young people. Most importantly we must as the ‘village’ work together to raise our children in safe spaces where they can realize their full potential.
The campaign month is divided into four weeks. Each week will focus on a major issue or concern faced by our children and will have initiatives or activities under each theme.
The themes of this campaign are as follows:
Week 1: Education
Week 2: Safety and Security
Week 3: Health
Week 4: Environmental Justice
It is our duty to safeguard our children! Join us and let's unite for children's rights!
